What does the assessment include in Rate Your Smile PRO?

Rate Your Smile includes an overall smile grade, a personalised comment, and a preview Smile Grading Card. Rate Your Smile PRO adds the full AI report: scores for all 8 criteria, a verifiable digital Smile Grading Card valid for 1 year, and 5 smile rechecks during that year.

What is a Smile Grading Card? How can I use it?

It is a digital card with your smile photo, grade, and a short epithet that matches the grade. Rate Your Smile gives you a preview card you can save or share. Rate Your Smile PRO gives you a unique, verifiable card, valid for 1 year — a credential you can add to a portfolio, profile, or casting deck.

Can I get a lower grade after paying for Rate Your Smile PRO?

No. Your first PRO grade will never be lower than your latest free result. Later rechecks can move up or down. You always choose whether to update your card.

What does Certify Your Smile Professional mean?

Certify Your Smile Professional is our AI + human-reviewed credential. Your smile is assessed to an international standard: AI assesses it, then our professionals review it, and you receive a verifiable digital certificate you can share. If your visible smile is natural teeth, with no veneers or crowns, Certified Natural Teeth Recognition can also be printed on the certificate.

How do you use my data?

We use your account details, 18+ age confirmation, and the smile photos you upload only to run your assessment, save your result, and, if you buy PRO, issue your card. We use cookies to keep you signed in and to run the site, not for advertising. Free scoring runs on your device where possible; PRO photos are sent to our AI provider only to generate your report, not to train their models. We do not sell your photos. We do not use them to improve our AI unless you opt in. We do not feature them publicly unless you opt in and your result is A or above. You must be 18 or over, and you may only upload photos of your own face. You can ask us to delete your photos — see our Privacy Policy.

How many rechecks do I get?

Rate Your Smile PRO includes your first full report plus 5 rechecks in the same year — not 5 per month.

Is this a dental diagnosis?

No. Results are an appearance reference only, not a medical or dental assessment. For teeth, gums, or treatment, please see a licensed dentist.

Where do the eight criteria come from?

They are appearance-rating factors drawn from smile-design and orthodontic aesthetic literature. Details and paper references are on the Literature page. They are not a dental examination or treatment protocol.

Who can use Smile Research?

You must be 18 or over. Do not upload photos of children or of anyone else.

What is Certified Natural Teeth Recognition?

It is printed on the Certify Your Smile Professional certificate when the visible smile is natural teeth, not veneers or crowns. It is not part of Rate Your Smile or Rate Your Smile PRO.

How does PRO renewal work?

Your first PRO report is $21.99. If you leave auto-renew on, the following year renews at $21.99 until you cancel. You can change this in My Account.

How long is a PRO Smile Grading Card valid?

PRO cards are valid for 1 year from the issue date. Each PRO purchase includes 5 smile rechecks during that year. When your membership renews, you can recheck and get an updated card.

What happens when my card expires?

The card is no longer shown as valid. Renew your membership, then recheck if you want a new card for the next year.

Can I assess someone else’s smile on my account?

No. One person per account — only your own smile.
